Advantages

Pot fillers come in a variety of styles and finishes to match the look of your kitchen. Most pot fillers have an arm that will swing the faucet out when in use and can be pushed out of the way when it is not needed. Platform Lifts

Installing an elevator on the exterior of a home is generally less invasive than retrofitting one inside, which often requires structural modifications such as floor cutting, beams, and columns.

Every successful project begins with understanding the client's needs. Great design starts with the people who will use the space, followed by a clearly defined budget established upfront. In many cases, building on the first floor is more cost-effective. For example, if access to the basement or second floor is not required, eliminating the need for an elevator can significantly stretch the budget while still meeting all mobility and comfort goals.

A sunroom is a fully enclosed room with a plethora of windows, designed to let natural light in. Common features of a sunroom include: windows, skylights, insulated walls, and heating and cooling options. Sunrooms can be designed to be three-season rooms or four-season rooms. Sunrooms are more expensive to build than screened porches but they can also be used longer and greater increase resale value.

Screened Porch

A screened porch is an outdoor enclosed area with screens instead of glass. Common features of a sunroom include: a deck or patio base, open air feel, ceiling fans, and outdoor furniture. Screened porches have a shorter construction time than sunrooms. They are also great for seasonal enjoyment and let the user enjoy the outdoor temperature. Screened porches protect you from bugs, rain, excessive pollen, and the strong sun. However, they are not usable year-round depending on the climate that you reside in. Farmhouse Sink vs. Undermount Sink

Kitchen sinks have come a long way since the drop-in mount complete with two impossibly small bowls. The lip on the edge of the bowl traps food and grime and the shallow basins make cleaning a frustrating task. For a long time, drop-in sinks, also known as counter mount sinks were the only option you could have in your home. Now, the two most popular types of sinks are undermount and farmhouse.

Undermount sinks are attached underneath the counter with adhesive and clips. This type of application permits smooth integration from counter to sink due to the missing lip found on a drop-in sink. You can brush crumbs and water right into the sink with no interruption. The front of the sink is hidden inside of the cabinet, which is a seamless look that lends itself to any décor style. Undermount sinks can have slightly rounded inner corners or 90-degree corners. The rounded corners will be easier to clean and look more traditional or transitional. The 90-degree corners better complement a modern aesthetic.

Undermount Sink

A farmhouse or apron sink are large sinks that are exposed in the front. If you were wearing an apron, this is where the apron would meet the front of the sink. The terms farmhouse and apron are often used interchangeably. The biggest difference between the two is the material that they are made out of. Farmhouse sinks are typically made of enameled cast iron or fireclay. Apron sinks can be made out of many materials but stainless steel, copper and stone composite are the most common. Homeowners choose these sinks because they are stylish, create warmth and allow you to get closer to the sink than an undermount style. Keep in mind that the non-stainless materials can stain with harsh chemicals or acidic foods. Farmhouse and apron sinks also tend to be more expensive than undermount sinks.

What is the Kitchen Work Triangle?

The kitchen work triangle is a model used to determine the ideal placement of the refrigerator, sink and stove/cooktop. These three areas in the kitchen create lines of an imaginary triangle to show the closest path of travel. In a perfect kitchen, you want these three points close to each other but not cramped together.

The idea of the kitchen work triangle was originally presented in 1929 by Lillian Moller Gilbreth at a Women’s Expo and was initially called circular routing. It was developed to create the most efficient kitchen design and maximize the one-cook kitchen experience. By using time-motion studies, the following work triangle principles were established:

The total of all three legs of the triangle should not exceed 26 feet
One side of the triangle should not be less than 4 feet or more than 9 feet
There should ideally be no major traffic interruptions in the triangle
A pantry cabinet, double oven or other tall obstacles should not intersect any two points of the triangle

It is important to keep in mind that even though the work triangle is often regarded as the gold standard for kitchen design, it was developed for a one-cook kitchen. It is much more common in recent years for there to be multiple cooks in the kitchen and especially multiple at one time. In addition, kitchens are much larger than they were in 1929 when this idea was first presented. The overall increase in kitchen square footage affects the distance between each of the legs of the triangle and the total length of the work triangle. There are also more appliances utilized in today’s kitchens such as dishwashers, under counter refrigerators, microwaves and sometimes multiple sinks.

A kitchen work triangle is a traditional planning technique that can be applied when it is appropriate for your home. If you do have multiple cooks, it is more essential to think about work zones and traffic patterns. Creating separate zones such as preparation space, a cooking zone and a cleaning area will be a much better fit. The kitchen island typically becomes the focus of the kitchen when there is enough space for it. In many kitchens, the island becomes the central place for food prep, socialization and presentation.

When planning your remodel, be sure to share with your designer the amount of cooks, cooking habits and overall desired aesthetic to ensure your kitchen is personalized to your needs.

ADA Compliant Addition in Ellicott City, MD

We tackled this challenge by building an addition that was 400 square feet. The addition included everything on the homeowner’s wish list to improve the quality of life for their daughter. The floor cover of choice for the new bedroom and sunroom space was Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) flooring. LVP is a very popular choice for remodeling and new spaces because it is: waterproof, low maintenance, pet-friendly, durable, easy to clean, comfortable, scratch resistant and can mimic the look of hardwood without the high cost. Three large windows were installed in the bedroom to maximize natural lighting as well as allow their daughter to easily see outside. The new closet has three thick shelves to increase storage capabilities as well as hanging space for clothing. A Mitsubishi Mini-Split system was installed in the new addition to handle the additional square footage of the home and allow the temperature to be customized to their daughter’s preference. The bathroom has ample space for a wheelchair to be maneuvered easily. It also has a six-foot navy colored vanity to store all personal items and toiletries that did not have a place in the original bathroom. The bathtub has grab bars and a handheld shower for accessibility. Finally, the sunroom has four large windows for their daughter to enjoy the backyard while being protected from the elements. This space can be used in all four seasons and is the perfect cherry on top to their daughter’s new suite.

Do you feel cramped in your bathroom and dream of a spacious room? If an addition is not possible for your home, don’t worry! There are numerous tricks to implement in your new design to achieve a roomy vibe without adding any square footage.

1. Lighter Colors

Light colors are more reflective than darker colors and our brains interpret that as being more open. By utilizing white or light-colored tiles and paint in your bathroom, you are effectively taking all the vertical space and maximizing the airy ambiance. A designer wants the entire bathroom to seamlessly connect and not feel disjointed.

2. Large Mirrors

Choosing a mirror that is as large as the vanity space or larger, will trick the eye into thinking that there is more space available. Multiple mirrors are a great asset in a bathroom as it makes viewing hard to see places, such as the back of your head, more accessible.

3. Consistent Materials

Selecting one tile in multiple sizes is another way to make your bathroom seem much larger than it actually is. Granite

Quartz

Quartz countertops are made by combining 93% quartz mixed in with polymer resins and pigments. After this mixture has been poured into a mold, pressed, cured and polished, it is ready to be cut to fit in your home. This engineered stone is non-porous and does not require sealing. It is still a good idea to wipe up spills regularly as a precaution to staining. Quartz countertops are able to achieve the look of marble without the heavy upkeep of marble.

Marble

Marble is a metamorphic rock made up of carbonate materials. Marble countertops have gorgeous coloring and veining that yield an elegant and timeless look. They are generally the most expensive out of all the countertop options but will also add a lot of value to your home. Marble is naturally heat resistant but is very prone to staining and etching. If you choose marble countertops for your home, plan on sealing every 3-6 months to ensure that you protect your investment.

Quartzite

Quartzite is made of metamorphic rock and pulled directly from the Earth. It does not allow for any uniformity or customization as it cannot be manipulated. Quartzite is naturally heat resistant, harder than quartz and slightly more resistant to scratching. It is also typically much lighter in color than granite. However, it does require more maintenance than quartz as it needs to be sealed numerous times a year to prevent staining.

All four of the materials above will give you a high-end, premium look. If you prefer zero maintenance, quartz is your best selection. Poor Space Planning

It is critical that bathrooms are laid out correctly and thoughtfully. A cramped bathroom is uncomfortable to use and creates more clutter. Please keep in mind these clearances when possible: at least 21 inches from the edge of the vanity to the wall, at least 21 inches in front of the toilet and 30 inches for ADA compliance, and 18 inches from the centerline of the toilet to the wall. Selecting materials that are not waterproof such as hardwood floors, will cause damage and headaches. Overlooking Storage Options

Bathroom products are plentiful and often create a lot of clutter, especially when the bathroom is used by more than one person. Drawers are the top way to store the typically small sized items. Once the design is approved, the construction begins with site preparation. The first step is to dig the footers. These footers must meet specific depth and width requirements based on building codes. A concrete block is then added to meet the elevation requirements set forth by the existing foundation. Rebar, a steel reinforcing rod, is then added to provide a stable foundation once the concrete is poured in the footers.

Depending on your design, the addition may have a concrete slab, crawl space, or full basement foundation. The foundation is then poured, leveled, and given time to dry before any actual framing starts. Now that the foundation is set, it is time for the framing to begin. The framing includes constructing floor joists and subfloors, building the walls and openings, as well as installing joists and roof trusses. On the exterior walls, you will use either sheathing or zip board. Once the exterior is sheathed, the outer walls will be wrapped with house wrap, which waterproofs the structure while awaiting siding and trims. This is also the point in which windows are installed. The exterior is now ready for siding and trimming work to begin.

After the walls are up, the roof is framed and covered with sheathing, underlayment's and accessories as required per code and shingles to match the existing roof structure. This ensures that the addition is now weatherproof.

Once the framing is in place it's time to do rough ins for plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work. All wiring, lights, pipes and drains are installed, which is especially crucial for bathrooms and kitchens included in these buildouts. An existing HVAC may not be able to support the new space, in which case you may need a separate unit, ductwork, or a mini split system installed to provide proper heating and cooling in the addition.

By now you can see how much goes into the project before we can even begin finishing the interior. The next step in the process, once all plumbing and electrical inspections have passed, is insulation. To maintain energy efficiency, insulation is installed in walls, ceilings and sometimes floors. Typically, you want to achieve at least an R-value of 28 in your walls and an R-38 in your ceiling. Options for insulation include: batt or blown in insulation. Once the insulation is in and passes inspection, drywall work begins. The drywall goes up, seams are taped and then is prepped and primed for paint.

With drywall complete, it's time for flooring. Once the flooring of choice is laid down, baseboards, trims and doors are then installed prior to painting walls and ceilings. Now you can really see the space take shape. Plumbing fixtures, lighting fixtures, countertops, cabinets and appliances are installed. The final steps are where final inspections take place as well as a final punch list for your contractor to put the finishing touches on.

Building the Perfect In-Law Suite in Ellicott City: The Schmidt Family Story

Introduction

Starcom has been building in-law suites for almost 40 years now! It has been a very rewarding process helping families come together in one location. While the design hasn’t changed drastically, today’s in-law suites are typically larger in size and often include guest rooms and laundry facilities. Thanks to advancements like stackable washers and dryers, creating functional laundry areas in compact spaces is easier than ever.

Land to build is beyond scarce, but families, in most cases, want to be together. Senior living can range in cost from $10-25K per month. Building an in-law suite is a nice way to build equity for families and still promote independent living. Some people use the term ADU or accessory dwelling unit or “granny flats.”.

This story highlights a recent in-law suite project for a family, with details from other projects sprinkled in to give potential buyers insight into the journey of creating their own in-law suite.

Project Goals

The family had seen Starcom signs around the community over the years and kept us in the back of their minds when it came time to bring Mom and Dad to Maryland from Connecticut. Their home, located in Ellicott City just 15 minutes from our design center, was the perfect site for an in-law suite.

We started our first meeting on site with a priority list of the amenities that were important for the build. We reviewed some similar projects we had done in the past to give the homeowners an idea of the possibilities. The in-laws were coming from a large house, so features like two full baths, a guest room, a large kitchenette, a screened porch, and laundry were important. Next, we reviewed the timelines: 4-5 weeks for conceptual and architectural plans, 5-6 weeks for permitting (if a property is on well and/ or septic, the timeline can be a week or two longer) and build time. We also discussed how we send project schedules to the owner on a regular basis.

We discussed:

Budgets
Milestone payments
Financing options
Inspections
Meetings
Additional work requests
Communication needs

We agreed to meet in about ten days at our design center.

Planning/Design Stage

Ten days sounds like a lot of time to most of our customers as they are ready to break ground after the first meeting. During those ten days, we are quite busy checking the most up-to-date county requirements, working on the first draft floor plans, sourcing products, getting quotes, creating the description of work (this is usually around 4-5 pages), estimating, brainstorming design, and more.

The second meeting was planned so that Mom and Dad could join us. It makes it significantly easier if everyone involved is present so that we are all on the same page. Our motto is “on time, on budget, happy customer.” It sounds straightforward, but it is actually very complex. It is much easier to build a new house than to tackle most of the in-law suites we build, as we are dealing with a variety of pre-existing conditions.

After the second meeting, the family put down a deposit to begin their design work. During the design work phase, we are visiting the site, hosting clients here to discuss progress and our designer is reviewing products to make selections, picking colors and so on. Our selections process is methodical. We like to build upon the large items like cabinets or flooring first and then focus on smaller items like faucets or handles/knobs. Every customer processes information differently, so we like to identify what works for them and tailor our presentations and decision goals accordingly.

The family signed the construction agreement in mid-May, and the permitting process took about six weeks. Summer vacations can slow down processing in the building permit department. We started in mid-July with a projected build time of six months. The Schmidt’s in-law suite grew into what we call “a house next to a house.” This design allowed for both families to enjoy time together while maintaining privacy. If Mom and Dad want to entertain, they can do so comfortably.

Challenges

Relocating the gas meter proved to be a significant obstacle for this project. We ran into problems with the utility company and permitting, which led to delays, but our team was persistent. After weeks of unanswered messages and emails, we escalated the issue and were able to secure the necessary permits to move forward. While these types of challenges are common in construction, our many years of building experience allows us to navigate these issues while keeping the clients informed every step of the way

Design Modifications

Typically, with all projects, there are changes that the customer would like to make after we have started work. For example, the interior wall of the screened porch originally had cement block with a stucco-like parging on it. The customer decided she wanted a more aesthetically pleasing interior porch design. A shiplap wall was an easy modification that made a big impact. In the first version of our plan, we had built-in bookcases in the guest room for all of Dad’s books. Custom built- ins are quite a bit more money than what comes from a local furniture store. The homeowner decided to apply that savings to the added screened porch shiplap cost.

The Finished Project

We also made a few alterations to some of the kitchen cabinetry, as sometimes getting the desired amenities takes some modifications. The finished results speak for themselves. “On time, on budget, happy customer” – we were very close to the six month projected timeline. If it hadn’t been for the utility company delays, the project would have been done ahead of schedule. The customers are very happy, and the original contracted items stayed within budget.

One of the most common sources of clutter in the kitchen comes from spices. Before we start a renovation, many clients complain that they cannot see what they have or even reach all their spices. There are numerous storage solutions for this common issue such as: a base rack pull out, a wall pull out, a tiered organizer for a drawer or roll outs in a base cabinet. We have even put base pull outs on either side of the range for clients who have an abundance of spices.

Pot Filler

In addition, there is an outlet in the back of the cabinet so you can keep the cord tucked away at all times. This specialty cabinet can be conveniently placed next to your baking station making your experience even more streamlined. If you prefer to utilize your island for prep space, the riser is a great choice because leaving it out 24/7 is not an option in this scenario.

Tray Storage

Another common source of kitchen clutter is tray storage. Cookie sheets, cutting boards and serving trays can pile up, slide around and cause headaches trying to get them out. Having to take out three baking sheets to get to the muffin pan is not an efficient way to cook or bake. A pull out with adjustable dividers allows for flexible storage that can change depending on your kitchen inventory. Another popular option is a fixed divider that can go in any base cabinet or 24” deep refrigerator cabinet.

Air Switch

An air switch is a small button located in the countertop that turns your garbage disposal on and off. This button is great alternative to a traditional switch if your sink is located in the island. It stops the need for dripping water on the floor, opening the cabinet door, flipping the switch on, and off and then wiping up mess when you are done. You can also elect to use an air switch if your sink is located in the perimeter of the kitchen but you prefer the ease of use or look. After putting up with their cramped kitchen for over a year, the homeowners decided to call Starcom for a solution to their frustrations. After our project coordinator evaluated their house, it was determined that the kitchen walls were not supporting and could be taken out without the installation of any support beams. Quartz countertops served as the base of their modern design. The large island had a waterfall edge on both sides. The cabinets in the island are dark grey with simple fixtures. The same slow-close cabinets were used everywhere else in the kitchen but in white. A stainless brushed nickel apron sink sits below a window to the backyard. A large range was placed in the island with seating around the backside. The new design has tripled the usable space in the kitchen and allowed for the cook to be a part of entertaining. Horse Retreat

For this outdoor project we wanted to continue the style of the original main barn onto the new builds. That way the design would be seamless over the acreage. The home owner decided to add four run ins and a hay barn. The purpose of the run in structure is to protect the horses from rain, snow or offer some shade in the hot days of summer. The run ins have an enclosed portion as well as a porch area with outside exposure.

We were able to customize the run ins and hay barn exactly to the customer's wishes. By adding them throughout various corrals, they were spread out on the property for each horse to enjoy- no matter where they were. The new additions flow flawlessly with the original barn and the aesthetic of the home. Another happy customer and happy horses!

Open Concept Kitchen and Living Room Completed in Pikesville, MD

For this modern kitchen design the homeowners wanted plenty of storage space and modern appliances. On one side of the kitchen we installed floor to ceiling wood cabinets, with built in space for the double ovens and large two door refrigerator. The stainless steel appliances go perfectly with the fixtures on the kitchen cabinets. Directly next to the refrigerator was a small counter piece was the home for a new wine fridge.

The kitchen was reconfigured to accommodate the new open design. The gas cook top was installed on top of the new peninsula; the sink was placed directly in front of the large window; and dishwasher directly next to the sink. Dark granite counters were added to compliment the rest of the design. The tile backsplash has a bold horizontal pattern and compliments the brick face on the newly finished fireplace. Since the fireplace can be seen from the kitchen it made sense to have design elements in both rooms that allowed the spaces to have continuity.

Above the peninsula there were built in shelves adjoining the new cabinets. These shelves displayed the family’s unique collection of ornate teapots, and with perfect access to the new stove top. Built in shelves were also added, flanking the newly finished fireplace. The family loved their new kitchen design and the flow between the two living spaces. They now love entertaining and having people over, and they don’t have to be concerned with a cramped space while cooking. They loved their new space so much that they also brought us on to complete their power room renovation as well.

Steep Steps in Burtonsville, MD

This home was so visually interesting because of the asymmetrical roof pitch. The homeowners wanted to show off their own interesting design aesthetic by picking a yellow siding and green shutters. It isn’t typical to choose non-neutral colors for a home's exterior. The home needed new steps leading from the driveway up to the front door, because their previous steps were steep and cracked, not advantageous for the older couple living in the home.

Beautiful bluestone stairs were custom designed and built for this family. The irregular shaped stones formed the tread of the steps. They were capped off by rectangular bluestone at the edges. The four foot landing was perfect for the incline leading up the front door. Attempting to add steps that were any shorter would have meant more stairs at a steeper incline, making it impossible for the homeowners to climb.

The ease at which our clients were able to go up and down the stairs in front of their home, made their house more accessible, and made them very happy homeowners.

Shortly after adding new bluestone stairs to the front of their home, our clients returned to us wanting to create some outdoor living space in their backyard. They requested a pergola, which is designed to let sunlight in but protect the people underneath from getting too much sun. We all know that sunlight hitting you directly in the face makes it hard to relax outdoors, so we wanted to make sure that our clients could make the most of their new outdoor space.

We built a deck of composite and vinyl materials, making it not only easy to clean but also durable. The beautiful new pergola shaded them from hard sunlight but also provided a nice place where they could come out and enjoy the sunshine and warm weather. The top of the pergola appears to be open, but the angle of the slats act like blinds and shade out a certain amount of light when the sun gets to a particular angle.

A short set of steps join together the new deck with the rest of the backyard, which is complete with beautiful landscaping. We created a space that can transport the homeowners to a vineyard in Italy while they sip wine beneath their pergola.

Garage Solution in Spencerville, MD

This homeowner, an elderly woman, wanted to build a garage off her home because she wanted an easier and safer way to get from her car into her house, especially when she had her hands full. This 20’x22’ was not only built for parking her car, it also gave her a ton of added space for storage. Built in cabinets were the perfect place for storage and keeping all her holiday decorations in a dry and safe place.

A drop bench was a good place for her to take a rest in case she needed to take a break while going from the car to the house. Luckily we made sure that the trip wasn’t that far for her because we built a vestibule connecting the house to the garage.

A window on the side of the garage guaranteed that she had plenty of light. A vent kept the garage well ventilated. She loves the ease and convenience that the addition of the garage has brought to her life and wishes she would have done it sooner!

Three Story Addition on a Slope in Olney, MD

We built a small workshop in the basement which was perfect for the husband who liked to be handy around the house. We built the porch off the back of the sun room and elevated it with stilts to accommodate the extra slope present in the backyard. This was the perfect place for enjoying the views of nature in the back of the house. Inside of the sun room the high vaulted ceiling was paneled with wood, and the rest of the room was decked out with wood trim as well. This lent itself well to the rustic feel of the home, which was positioned right on the edge of a beautifully wooded area.

Kitchen Makeover in Severn, MD

We stuck to a minimalist design, with white cabinets and a neutral backsplash, this kept the kitchen from clashing with the living room décor. For the countertops we used a beautiful granite that gave the traditional style kitchen a bit of an edge.

The kitchen was built in an L-shape so that it wouldn’t run into the basement door alongside the other wall. However, we made sure that the homeowners did not have to compromise on storage for their kitchen. Their beautiful white cabinets extended all the way up to the ceiling. There were cabinets and drawers underneath the counters, and the large L-shaped center island also housed several cabinets for storage. The island doubled as a breakfast bar, which was perfect for the family to spend quality time together.

We finished off the kitchen with stainless steel appliances and decorative pendant lighting that went along the length of the island. By the time we finished, there was so much unique charm in this kitchen and our clients were elated with the results. Our craftsmanship and quality of work were top notch and they are so excited to start spending more family time together in the kitchen.

Screened Porch in Dayton, MD

What they had in mind was a space that would be perfect for entertaining, without giving up any of the comforts of being indoors. The addition that we built had large windows to let in a ton of natural light, and it flowed seamlessly with the existing exterior of the home. They wanted the look and flow of the screen porch to match just as well, so we continued to follow the vertical lines of the windows from the addition when adding the screen panels onto the porch. Also, the addition had a half-round window above the windows; we added the same style window to the screen porch to keep continuity on the exterior.

Inside the screened porch was a hot tub and a built-in bar, creating the perfect outdoor party environment that any family who loves to entertain needs. In order to make sure the space can be used year-round, we added a second HVAC system in the attic to balance out the heat and AC. The vaulted ceilings made the space appear even larger. We included a blue stone patio, perfect for barbecuing on a warm summer day, that also increases the size of their outdoor living space.

The homeowners were very pleased with the way that their home was transformed. They love having people over to entertain, and can't stop raving about the excellent design and craftsmanship provided by our team.

Two Story Addition on a Home in Glenwood, MD

This home already came with a lot of unique design features so we wanted to make sure that we were creating a design that fit in with the rest of the home. We installed windows in the kitchen and master bath, that would overlook the lake. We built a balcony off the master suite, giving the parents additional outdoor space to get away after a hectic work day and relax. Inside, we continued the exposed wood beams throughout the ceiling, keeping true to the design elements that was already present. Inside the walls, we installed a high pressure HVAC system, perfect for a larger home, without compromising on the design and style.

Starcom Design Build won an award at the Homebuilders Competition for this outstanding design! The old and new exterior of the home flows together flawlessly, you can barely tell where the addition begins. We also got plenty of praise from the homeowners, who love having added space for their big, busy family!

Whole House Remodel in Catonsville, MD

We transformed an outdated home, in Catonsville, into an award winning remodel! The Bromley’s came to us because their home, which was over 100 years old, needed some serious renovating. The Bromley’s settled on this home after moving from upper Virginia, and they loved the fact that the house was within walking distance to downtown. They always dreamed about being able to retire in an older home and we wanted to transform this space into something that they would be happy with in years to come.

Every room in the house needed work done and we were just as excited as the homeowners about taking on such a large project. Some rooms had to be torn down to the studs, but it was important to the Bromley's that we preserve as much of the homes original features as possible. One thing they were adamant about saving was the brick fireplace which was badly damaged, inside and out. We repaired the internal structure and enhanced it with a new brick profile. We replaced all the flooring on the first floor but were able to keep the second story flooring. The original heart of pine floors were painstakingly repaired, refinished, and restored to their original glory. Fitting perfectly into the rest of updates we made around the home.

All interior and exterior windows and doors were replaced to make the home more energy efficient. On the exterior of the home we worked to remove all old cable wiring that was hanging out, and we patched up the holes.

In the end, it was a stunning transformation. Our awesome design team was able to see this home renovated and restored to its original condition, with some modern updates added in. The home is overflowing with charm and style. The homeowners are so thrilled with our design and remodeling expertise, and now have a home that they will be able to enjoy for many years to come.
