Sunroom, Laurel, MD

Needing more room for their home, Starcom Design Build was able to expand the home with a Sunroom that looks into the Backyard. The improvement was to maximize the home for an open room concept along with a good view of the backyard!

The Sunroom was constructed at 12 x 21 opening up the interior and expanding the Kitchen. Pella Encompass 5 energy star white vinyl sliding windows and 1 circle top transom window were installed. 1 white 6’ patio sliding door for access to the backyard. The Eldorado Stone and Meseta Field Ledge were added for a unique look on the Sunroom's foundation.

The newly built Sunroom blends well with the original home and offers a nice entrance to the Backyard.  This was a great way to enter the backyard for family gatherings while also expanding the home into a modern open concept design.

Customer needed some final touches to the front of their home with a portico. A portico is a roof supported by columns from the front porch. This small expansion makes the home more inviting and gives a unique look for the front door.

The addition of railings were added too for both a look and a safety. The siding color matches the siding of the home while the white posts, railings, and even the steps are white to match the door/door frame and garage. A new door was also added with a glass door in front. The new door, red, matching the shutters, tie in the house into a color scheme.

With the home owner pleased, the finished home was complete on schedule with no issues.

Pantry Storage in Ellicott City, MD

With large gatherings as a constant, the home owner needed an update to parts of the kitchen. This stage of the renovation was the pantry section. More organized, more up-to-date style, revolutionized the flow of the kitchen.  With the homeowner who loves to entertain and cook, she needed an area of the kitchen to hold all her cooking supplies!

Proper storage was a must, and to open the space up, the addition of putting the fridge, oven, and microwave into the surrounding pantries and cabinets to be all at her disposal was the decision that best fit the space. Dark wood made the polished steel appliances stand out, easy to clean, and offered a unique function for utilizing space.

The end of the project delighted the homeowner and later wanted the rest of the kitchen remodeled, and later, an addition branching off the kitchen into the backyard!
